The rise of Early to CXC
Have you ever found the education system to be cumbersome, or a bit more difficult than it needs to be? That was the exact thought occurring to our founder, Principal Roach.
Processes that should have been straightforward were often slowed by unnecessary barriers, administrative hurdles, and a culture of gatekeeping that prevented many people from accessing opportunities. Instead of helping learners move forward, the system frequently made them fight for access.
How it all began
The start of Early to CXC begins as a teacher in the classroom wanting to make an impact in the education system. Extra classes or lessons paired with academic support were the first attempt at impact. However, it quickly became clear that students needed much more than teaching alone. They needed help navigating educational pathways, registering for examinations, accessing resources, and finding opportunities that were often difficult to reach. That realization led to the expansion of services and the creation of what would eventually become Early to CXC.
Technology became a key part of the solution. By combining education with digital innovation, processes that once required multiple steps, approvals, and visits could be transformed into simple online experiences. Whether registering for classes, enrolling for examinations, or accessing learning resources, the goal was always the same: make an impact.
Creating the impact meant barriers had to be removed and access be created. This led to the building principles developed by Founder Roach before his principal years — now established as the guiding principles of Early to CXC:
