What to expect: Personal details, identification (birth certificate upload), subject selection, and a single payment. The full process takes about 8 minutes. We submit your CXC registration for you.
How CXC registration works for private candidates in Trinidad and Tobago
In Trinidad and Tobago, private candidates are required to submit their own registration. Early to CXC accepts that registration and files it on your behalf.
Two sittings a year
- January: CSEC only. The registration form lists the CSEC subjects offered in the January sitting.
- May/June: CSEC and CAPE. CAPE subjects are registered by unit.
Each sitting has its own registration period. When one is open, you can begin your registration at the top of this page.
What you need to register
- The candidate's details, exactly as they appear on the birth certificate
- A clear scan or photo of the birth certificate
- The subjects you are taking — and, for CAPE, which units
- If you are resitting or transferring, your previous candidate number
Government Sponsorship of exam fees
First-time national private candidates have all fees except the processing fee waived by the Government — even if you sat exams while in school. The sponsorship covers only your first private registration.
After you register
- When you submit your registration, we email you a confirmation.
- You see every fee on one order summary before you pay.
- Upon payment, your application is filed.
- Your e-slip is emailed to you prior to the start of the exam season.
- If you also join our classes and don't have a student portal login yet, we email you one once your payment is confirmed.
