What we heard

At Early to CXC, we have spent years working directly with Caribbean students, teachers and parents. We listened to their frustrations, celebrated their successes, and saw the same challenge appear again and again.

• Available when they need it. Support that does not keep office hours.
• Built for the Caribbean curriculum. Not a system designed for somewhere else.
• Adaptable. Guidance that fits a student's own learning journey.

That realization became the spark that led to CoTails.

The vision

The vision was simple but powerful: create an intelligent study companion that combines the accessibility of technology with the guidance of a patient tutor. Not a generic learning platform designed for another country or examination system, but an AI built specifically around the syllabuses, subjects, and examination standards used throughout the Caribbean.

The name CoTails reflects the idea that no student should have to navigate their educational journey alone, but with a companion helping along the way — a trait directly engraved in the foundation of Early to CXC. So whether a learner is preparing for a secondary-level placement examination, working toward getting their subjects and passes, or striving for A-level distinctions, CoTails is there to guide, explain, encourage, and support every step of the way.

Two years in the making

What began as a solution to a common problem quickly became something larger. It did take us some time to get it just right — over two years, in fact — but we wanted to make CoTails the best we could, and we still plan to make it better.

The E2C family envisions a future where every Caribbean student, regardless of location or circumstance, can access personalized academic assistance at any hour of the day or night. A student studying in Port of Spain, Georgetown, Kingston, Bridgetown, Castries, or Belize City should have the same opportunity to ask questions, practise exam techniques, build confidence, and receive guidance tailored to their needs.

Alongside teachers, not instead of them

CoTails was not created to replace teachers, parents, or traditional learning, but to strengthen the support system around students. CoTails bridges the gap between the classroom and independent study, helping learners transform uncertainty into understanding, and preparation into confidence.
